NEW - Manifesto

BEING NEW MEANS TOTAL DISSOLUTION OF THE PAST.

THEREFORE IT IS NOT SIMPLY WHAT WE ARE, BUT WHAT WE ARE NOT. WE ARE NOT WHAT WE’VE DONE RIGHT OR WRONG, OUR STRENGTHS OR WEAKNESSES, OUR VICTORIES OR OUR LOSSES, BUT WE ARE MADE NEW. TO BE WEIGHTLESS IN THE EMPTY SPACE OF A GENESIS FROM THE ONE WHO GIVES US A FRESH START. WE DARE TO BELIEVE GOD WHEN HE INITIATED A “NEW THING” LONG AGO AND FORETOLD THE END RESULT BEING “ALL THINGS NEW”.

NEWNESS IS THE ESSENCE, THE EVIDENCE THAT “GOD WAS HERE”. IT’S AN INVITATION FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTS A NEW BEGINNING.

NEW - Statement of faith

We believe in ONE GOD, eternally existing in three persons:

Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and The Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, equal in POWER and GLORY.

God's Love is everlasting and extends to all humanity. He created the world good, but humanity's sin separated us from Him. Jesus Christ is God incarnate, the Son of God who came to earth, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. His resurrection conquered death and offers eternal life to all who believe in Him.

The Holy Spirit is the empowering presence of God within us. He guides us, convicts us of sin, and empowers us to live a Holy life according to God's will. The Bible is God's inspired Word and our ultimate authority for faith and practice.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit with the manifestation of Spiritual Gifts as described in the New Testament. These gifts are for the building up of the church and the advancement of God's Kingdom.

We are called to live a transformed life in the power of the Holy Spirit, demonstrating God's love through acts of healing, deliverance, prophecy, and tongues.

We believe in the power of faith to bring healing to the sick, both physically and emotionally.

We value the importance of community and believe in the power of the local church to equip believers and fulfill the Great Commission.

We eagerly await the return of Jesus Christ to establish His Kingdom on earth and usher in a new era of righteousness and peace.

our foundation

We believe as leaders in the Body of Christ, we are called to a high standard of conduct and lifestyle. Our foundation is based on Scripture and organized in alignment to the Core Values of our team

High standards, high grace

core values

Freedom and Responsibility in Christ are inseparable. The highest standard we can hold is a life fully surrendered to Jesus Christ. This means above all, Love Him and to Love others the same way He has loved us.

This also includes upholding the highest standards to bear the Fruits of the Spirit in every area of our life (Galatians 5:22-23): spiritual walk, our mental health, our physical well being, personal relationships, and our finances.

everyone is significant

Jesus paid the ultimate price for everyone, and that significance needs to be realized. This realization doesn't lead to arrogance, not if you see it correctly. It leads to service, the only proper response.

In John 13:5, Jesus washes the disciples' feet. Here's the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords washing the feet of fishermen, tax collectors, and political zealots. Why? Jesus knew who He was. When He realized who He was, out of this revelation of His significance, He served. He modeled a Kingdom truth: anyone who sees their significance, their value in God, will not desire to build their own empire. They will serve and serve well. And when you see the significance of the people around you, you find out there's no one that's to be neglected. We get to actually celebrate and honor every person

(Matthew 25:35-40, Romans 12:10, 1 Peter 4:1-10)

agressive alignment

As the core team of NEW, we recognize the critical importance of alignment with the ways of God’s Kingdom, but also alignment as a team. Nothing is impossible with God, so could He use one of us? Yes, but He tends to bring people together and use them in unity to show His power and His nature: both King and Father.

We agree to put the assignment of NEW above our feelings and to pursue alignment over our comfort. This looks like laying down our need for recognition, credit, and fear of hard conversations. We will be aggressive in our pursuit of alignment with each other as one body, with God’s Spirit and Truth as the foundation we stand on.

Love that pursues

Love should be our primary motivation in everything we do. We understand the greatest misconception of The Gospel, is that we pursued God. That is wrong. We are the bride in this relationship, therefore God pursues us. Jesus didn’t run from the broken, He ran TOWARDS them. He commissioned us to do the same. We walk in the supernatural love that transforms, actively pursuing the lost and broken not simply to make bad people good, but to create a NEW kind of people.

Eternity mindset

The world lives with a scarcity perspective. Although “YOLO” usually comes with a brave and courageous connotation, it’s actually rooted in fear. Jesus made it clear to live this life through the lens of eternity. This produces an attitude of abundance and encourages short term sacrifice for long term reward. He told us to store up our treasures in Heaven and said He came to give us life and life eternal. As a team, we agree to live, move, and have our being in an endless, immortal, and eternal God that has much in store. We agree to pour out this life as a love offering to God, knowing our reward in Heaven far outweighs anything we could store up for ourselves here.

Radical faith

It’s absolutely impossible to please our Heavenly Father without faith. Because faith doesn’t just please God, it moves God. He has given us authority, His word, and His Spirit to be His image bearing children and vessels in this Earth. This means that if Faith is the currency of the Kingdom of God, then God chose to go “all in” on us as His favored investment vehicles. We are full of Faith from the source of Faith. This Faith, working by Love, expects the impossible, brings hope to every situation, and dreams with God.

(Isaiah 43:18-19, Matthew 21:22, Luke 1:37, 2 Corinthians 5:7, Romans 10:17, Hebrews 11:1, Hebrews 11:6)

stewards over little

We must understand carelessness occurs when we take our eyes off of Jesus. It’s impossible to be grateful and to be careless. The Truth is God put us, His image bearing children whom He called “very good”, in a world He created and also called good - not to merely exist but to steward. This means we own nothing but have the honor and privilege to share the  responsibility with Him. We are stewards of His creation, His people, His truth, and His presence.

If we show ourselves faithful stewards even over the little things, He makes us rulers over much!
