Bri Kohl
Bri, hailing from Santa Maria, California, was deeply involved in her Baptist church community. At 25, she courageously stepped away from the legalistic practices she grew up with, seeking a more authentic faith journey. In 2019, facing personal trials, Bri experienced a transformative period that redirected her life for the better.
Passionate about ministry, Bri devoted herself to various avenues, such as working with children through her church's ministry outreach program. For nearly a decade, she served as a transportation worker, visiting the kids weekly and actively participating in the programs organized for them. Alongside her duties, Bri worked tirelessly to ensure that the children were picked up and brought to church, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for them to grow in their faith.
Bri also successfully launched a faith-based podcast called "Embracing the Uncomfortable," aiming to walk through life with people, revealing God's grace in difficult times, and discussing topics often avoided.
Her five-year tenure in juvenile hall expanded her empathy, guided by her life verse, Luke 4:18, to serve the hurting and broken, especially those imprisoned by their minds.Currently, amidst her own mental healing journey, Bri values building connections and fostering a community centered on Jesus and vulnerability. Her greatest strengths lie in her ability to connect deeply with others and her willingness to be vulnerable. In December 2023, she took a bold step of faith by moving to Arizona, eager to see what God has planned for her with NEW.
